The quality and viability of any product is the direct result of the people who put their time, energy and passion into it.
This is especially important for an open source product which relies more on it's development community than traditional commercial software.
Open source doesn't always have the benefit of commercialism and thus it is definitely a labor of love and a chance to build something useful for a technology that we are excited about.
At Rifidi this holds especially true. Simply put, Rifidi would not be possible without the effort of its amazing developer community. Putting aside other commitments and working with tough schedules the team has achieved an amazing amount of work in just a little over 6 months. Time and time again Rifidi's developers and testers have contributed more than their time and their thoughts. Our community has such great energy and dedication that it makes this such a fun and special project to contribute to. We are not guaranteed success but we will continue to build because it is something that we believe in and enjoy building. This product is dedicated to all of those people who have put up with the late nights, erratic meals, last minute scope creep, and way too much caffeine to make this product a reality. There are a lot of great things in our future and we hope that Rifidi will be a tool that redefines RFID development and makes a lasting impact like other projects such as Eclipse and JBoss have. So there you have it, our vision of the future. Not surprisingly it is directly tied to the dedication and passion of our team. We strongly believe in our vision and we invite you to take the jump with us. We invite you to use our product, to report bugs, give back ideas and if you are really brave to join our ranks.
This is a brief snapshot of our Core Team.
The Core Team is responsible for most of the design and coding efforts on Rifidi and has the final say on what goes into a release.
